Installing AVAA on Windows

Install Java

Download and install the latest Java Runtime (JRE) from the trusted adoptium releases.

The Python Install Manager is required to install and use different Python versions.

VLC is a free and open source multimedia player.

If VLC is installed, AVAA will use it to preview annotations segments.

Download the latest release archive and extract it.

To start AVAA, simply double-click the launcher file avaa-toolkit.exe

The executable is not signed, so Windows will ask for a confirmation.

Alternatively, the file avaa-toolkit.bat can be used to start AVAA, and also edited to run with custom arguments.
